Image Process of 3D Product Rendering

With 3D modeling to efficient image production of product renderings.

New products can be modeled very quickly via 3D. This is done completely digitally and eliminates the need for expensive prototypes or time-consuming Photoshop montages. A photorealistic product visualization by Rendorama can therefore be produced within a very short time.

With simple shapes, an approximate outline is created first. This is refined further, until it matches the final shape of the product. Similarly, the painter first defines large areas with a coarse brush and then reduces the thickness of the brush towards the end for the details. Repetitive elements, such as bracelet links or display buttons, are created procedurally.

Product features are also defined and prepared for later 3D animation of the product rendering. At this stage of the modeling process, it is important to find a camera viewpoint which represents the object in the most informative way. If desired, line art images of the 3D models can now be supplied for user manuals or documentation.

Existing 3D data

If there is existing 3D data, this will naturally ease the workflow when creating a product rendering. It is possible to work with models from Inventor or Solidworks, as well as other 3D formats such as Cinema 4d, Houdini, Autocad and 3dsMax. If a 3D model is not available in the required format, the data can be converted accordingly.
